Description:

A recent introduction from Biosyn Genetics, the Iguanodon is an early member of the Hadrosauriformes group of dinosaurs, also known as Duck-Billed herbivores. Iguanodon was amongst the first dinosaur species discovered and holds great paleontological importance to this day.

This species is characterized by its large iconic thumb claws, wide keratin beak, and S-shaped neck. The Iguanodon cloned by Biosyn is quite large, reaching about 10 meters in length, similar to estimates from the fossil record. The animal’s skin consists of tones of yellow, brown, and beige, with vertical white stripes along its back.

Not much is known about its behavior as we never get an in-depth look at the Iguanodon. Its ecological role within Biosyn Valley is also unclear as individuals are only seen during the locust outbreak at the compound.

Size Estimates:

3.7m Tall
10.5m Long

Did you know?

Judging by its proportions, the Jurassic World Dominion Iguanodon seems to have artistic influence by another species of Ornithischian, called Mantellisaurus.

Habitat & Geographical Ranging:

Only known to be found within Biosyn Valley located in the Italian Dolomites, the Iguanodon has a very small range. It is unclear if the biome of the valley, a humid pine forest, is the ideal environment for the species as it is also seen during the Cretaceous period in a semi-arid environment. Due to its short screen time, no conclusions regarding its ideal habitat can be made.
