Fauna

Life exists in our planet for hundreds of thousands of years by now, and still thrives in many different ways, one of the predominant major groups is the Fauna, Animals. The particular group that is presented in the Jurassic Park Franchise of course is Dinosauria, a large Clade that contains a vast diversity of Dinosaurs, with Theropods, Sauropods and Ornithischians.

The Theropods consist primarily of bipedal and agile predators, evolving from tiny ancestors such as Coelophysis or Herrerasaurus back in the Triassic Period, reaching prime species even seen in the films such as the Tyrannosaurus or Giganotosaurus.
The Sauropods contain some of the largest animals to ever walk the Earth, their story, like Theropods, began back in the Triassic with animals such as Mussaurus, reaching the Jurassic Period with large behemoths like Mamenchisaurus and Apatosaurus.
Ornithischians consist a fairly odd group of dinosaurs, most of which had some sort of beak and relied on walking quadrupedally. Species such as Triceratops and Parasaurolophus belong to this group, but
more unusual ones such as Pachycephalosaurus are also present.

It is not just Dinosaurs that were presented in the Jurassic Franchise,
various
different groups such as Marine Reptiles (Including Mosasaurus itself), Pterosaurs (Including animals such as Dimorphodon and Quetzalcoatlus), or even Mammals and Arthropods like the Smilodon, Nublar's Tufted Deer and Biosyn's Locust! All this diversity is shown in this page, alongside the various different breeds and morphological variants those species may have presented over the last 30 years;
