A brief introduction

Welcome to the Field Guide! Today on June 30th we open this huge fan project to the public, a passionate project brought by passionate fans for you all. The Jurassic Field Guide is a rather ambitious project, and with that in mind, we wanted it to stay relevant in long-term, have new content over time to keep it fresh and alive for many years to come. That said, this initial release contains numerous additions and features, with many more still planned for the future!
We decided to start by developing a little of everything from the movies, especially in regards of species to our Fauna section. Initially very few species are within the Flora section, but many already planned. Our Ecosystems page is very JP Trilogy centered, starting with 3 ecosystems from Jurassic Park and The Lost World.
Speaking of Jurassic Park, our Explore page contains the first of the Interactive Maps in the form of 1993's Isla Nublar! A fully detailed, movie accurate, rendition of the Island, with over 20 interactive icons from locations, some of those come with Soundscapes even! So you can hear a glimpse of what it feels like to be within Nublar.


This is just the beginning of a long journey, but we're sure you will stick close by to enjoy all the amazing stuff that we have to offer, down below there is a Changelog, giving a more formal listing of everything we did to start things off.
