• Alongside Diplodocus, Apatosaurus was part of the family Diplodocidae, that was entirely cut out from the game.

• It's presumed that Apatosaurus and Diplodocus were both cut in favor of keeping less species, and due the possible better known Camarasaurus and Brachiosaurus.

• Apatosaurus had a bad luck of being mentioned in various JP medias and every single time ending up being cut, until 2015 where it was a new species in Jurassic World.
