Exercises

To start off on the basics of Operation Genesis, the game introduces you the Exercises, tutorials and easy-to-learn scenarios to better introduce the player into the game. In total, there are 15 known Exercises, with only 9 being in the final game.

Out of these 9 Exercises, 4 of them are Tutorials, teaching you how to handle the UI, Fossil Hunting and Dinosaur Creation, Visitor Welfare and Security Measures. The other 5 Exercises are specific scenarios to test your skills on the park management.

All these Exercises, including the cut ones, are listed down below where you can read about each one in details.

Cut Exercises

Cut Exercises

There are 6 known Exercises that were originally going to join the Final Game's Roster that were sadly scrapped out during development. Although we have no info regarding them, we at least have their Titles which could lead into speculations about what exactly each one would play out:

  • Disease Control

  • Isla Nublar

  • Isla Sorna

  • Isla Muerta

  • Isla Matanceros

  • Isla Tacaño

Based entirely on our own speculation, we personally believe that Disease Control would be the 5th Tutorial type of Exercise, teaching the Player the basics of Diseases and Vaccines, perhaps even regarding Serums.

The specifically named Islas would be Advanced types of Exercises to build on these Islands, interestingly though, both Isla Nublar and Sorna made it into the final game as "Jurassic Classic" and "The Lost World", it's unclear if they represent the same Exercises or they're any different.

It's also interesting to note the absence of Isla Pena on the list, for some reason.

The Concept of building on The 5 Deaths was later on reused as the main campaign plot for the game Jurassic World Evolution, from 2018.
