The Flaming Cliffs of Ulan Bator
The Flaming Cliffs are part of the Djadochta Formation in Central Mongolia. It was discovered in 1922 by an expedition sponsored by the American Museum of Natural History. While the INGEN site is remote and difficult to excavate, it contains some excellent bone beds, rich in Late Cretaceous fossils.
