Cut Content - Buildings

We wanted to keep the Site as complete as it could be, but also try to make the Pages nothing way too big for you readers, with that in mind, two categories of Cut Content were moved as their own Pages on the Site. Both for size design and due these two topics being a Major part of Cut Features.

Down below, you will see all the known Content that was scrapped, cut, or modified related to the Game's Buildings.

Bear in mind, some Images of the Cut Features are presented in Galleries, click on them to zoom in and read more in detail about each.

Dino-Vet Station

Seen in the Game Files and by the Trailers and Promotional Shots of JPOG. The Dino-Vet Division and Station were vital for keeping the Welfare of your Dinosaurs on check. We created a whole separated page showing the Dino-Vet Station in which you can visit here:

Medic Station

Only seen on Prisma's Strategy Guide, the Medic Station was the equivalent of Dino-Vets for the Visitors, without them you wouldn't be able to rescue your Visitors from Disasters. We created a whole separated page showing the Medic Station in which you can visit here:

Vehicle Maintenance Depot

Only found 5 Years after JPOG's Release, the Vehicle Depot was originally used to repair damaged or malfunctioning Vehicles in your game.

We created a whole separated page showing the Vehicle Depot in which you can visit here:

Hunting Platform

The only Cut Attraction of which we have images of, the Hunting Platform let Visitors hunt down Carnivores in your Park. Not the greatest politically correct attraction here...

We created a whole separated page showing the Hunting Platform in which you can visit here:

Jurassic Park Institute

A Vital Facility for all the Genetic Operations of Jurassic Park, sadly it was cut sometime after the Announcement Trailer of the Game, with a few leftover Files.

We created a whole separated page showing the Jurassic Park Institute in which you can visit here:

Dino Petting Zoo

Originally, this Attraction was present in the Game for 2 major reasons, Kids and Baby Dinosaurs. Infant Herbivores and perhaps even Carnivores would be able to directly interact with Kids [also cut from the Game] and possibly Adults too. We now only have a few mentions regarding this Cut Attraction.

Hotels

We keep asking yourselves why JPOG never had Hotels or Lodges for our Visitors right? Sadly that Building did in fact exist in the Game at some point, but was removed for Design Decisions and/or Console Limitations. It's likely that the Hotel was removed alongside the Day/Night Mechanic aswell.

Fence Gates

Not an actual Building but instead an Addon to the Fences. The Gates were an efficient way to get Vehicles going through Paddocks, and even Paths for Visitors too!

It's unknown why these were cut, but we do know that they were removed only later on, as we see them in the Announcement Trailer of the Game.

Diagonal Fences & Paths

Probably the most annoying thing of JPOG is the lack of Diagonal Angles when placing down Fences, Paths, or even Buildings. Turns out that was in fact an actual mechanic earlier in the Game. It's unknown why that was cut at all. It's possible it was removed due the Topography being simplified by 4x at some point in the Game.

1 Segment Fence Placement

Pretty sure everyone that played JPOG got annoyed on how you can only put down Fences by 3 Segments. Turns out 1 Segment Placement was actually a Feature of Early Builds of the Game. It's briefly seen in only one image, but it's clear that it was in fact a mechanic, cut for unknown reasons.

Non-Electric Fences

Originally, the Low, Medium and High Security Fences you put down in your Park weren't automatically Electrified, that was in fact an Upgrade that could be implemented into them. In order to upgrade the Fences to become electrified, players originally needed to complete the Research for it.

Concrete Walls

Also shown on the Fences Page of this Site, the Concrete Walls are the original design to the High Security Fences of the Game. Although it's pretty unclear if the Concrete Walls were a separated Fence at some point, or just an Early Design.

Stadium

Perhaps the most mysterious Cut Feature of JPOG so far, the Stadium is.. something, in fact we don't know what it was exactly, aside from a single file with this name. It's unclear if that's an Attraction, likely, but not confirmed.

Placeable Jurassic Park Gate

Somewhat dubious but quite possible, the Jurassic Park Gates from the Park Entrance originally could've been able to be put into your Park anywhere you liked.

The interesting part is how that feature was later on implemented by Modders as a Decoration alternative.

Super Healing Compound

Aside from being an Upgrade to Dino-Vets, not much is known about the Super Healing Compound. It worked similar to the Healing Compound seen in the Final Game by Rangers, but instead, it could revive and heal Dinosaurs in a single shot.

Safari Adventure Roads

Weird how we set a specific path for the Safari Adventure but we can't truly see it right? That's because originally there was a Road formed by the Safari Adventure. It's pretty odd why this was cut in the first place, but we do see it in various Early Builds and even in the Game Files.

Buildings on Mountains

Probably an extremely known picture of JPOG, but also with a subtle detail that passes missed by people, Buildings on Mountains! For those that are out of the loop, Buildings can't be put down in High Places, only flat sea-level Terrain. That wasn't the case in Early Builds of the game.

"Notify me: Yes / No"

"Notify Me" was an Option for Hatcheries that whenever a Dinosaur was fully grown in there, Ray Arnold would send a message on your Mail warning about that, so you could choose to release the Dinosaur or not. It's possible that Notify Me was also an option for other Facilities and Buildings in the game at some point.

Possible Early Herb. Feeder

Despite having no name mentions, no descriptions, nothing, the only good hint we may have are the Bale stocked on its interior, implying that Building was in fact an early Design of the Herbivore Feeder. But since there's no word to confirm or deny that, we left it separated from the Early Buildings Designs.

Early Buildings Designs

A plenty of Buildings of JPOG had a variety of Early Designs that never made it into the Final Game, instead of putting them separated, we grouped all of them in this one piece, since they represent one topic as a whole.
